This page explains what QR Coloring Studio collects from creators (you) and from the people who scan the QR codes you print. The short version: we collect very little, and almost nothing from children who scan pages.

1. What this product is

QR Coloring Studio is operated by QR Coloring Studio, Inc. ("we," "us"). It is a service for adults to create printable coloring sheets with QR codes that resolve through qrcoloring.com/s/<code>. Children may scan the printed codes; they do not create accounts or upload content. Accounts are adult-only.

2. What we collect from creators

  • Email address (required for account)
  • Name, if you provide one
  • Content you create or upload: line art, audio, scan-page text, template choices
  • Billing information processed by Stripe — we never see card numbers
  • Server logs (IP, request path, user agent) for security and rate-limiting
  • Aggregate usage events (sheets created, exports, scans logged) for plan-limit enforcement

3. What we collect from scanners

When someone scans a QR code and visits /s/<code>, we log a scan event that includes:

  • The short code that was scanned
  • A coarse device type (mobile, tablet, desktop)
  • A coarse browser family (Safari, Chrome, etc.)
  • An optional ISO country code derived from IP geolocation
  • A salted hash of the visitor's IP — used only for daily uniques and abuse detection. The salt rotates daily, so the hash cannot be linked back to any individual.

We do not set behavioral tracking cookies on scan pages, run third-party analytics, embed advertising pixels, or collect raw IP addresses, names, emails, photos, voice recordings, or precise location from scanners.

4. Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our service is directed at adults who create content; children may view scan pages, but those pages do not request any personal information by design. Forms collecting personal information from children are prohibited under our Acceptable Use Policy.

If you believe a creator on our platform has published a page that collects personal information from a child under 13, report it via Report a sheet or email hello@qrcoloring.com. We disable reported pages within 24 hours pending review.

5. How we use what we collect

  • To run the service: serve pages, generate PDFs, send transactional emails
  • To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse
  • To show creators aggregate scan analytics for their own sheets
  • To send creator-facing product emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)

We do not sell personal information. We do not share creator data with advertisers.

6. Who we share data with

  • Vercel — hosting and file storage
  • Neon — Postgres database
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Resend — transactional and creator-product email
  • Google — optional sign-in via OAuth, if you choose it

7. How long we keep data

  • Account data — for as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion
  • Scan events — 18 months, then deleted
  • QR link records — indefinitely, because printed codes can live for years. Disabled or archived codes keep their record so the URL continues to render a safe page.

8. Your rights

You can request a copy of your account data, correct it, or delete your account by emailing hello@qrcoloring.com. We honor GDPR and CCPA requests where applicable.
