QR Coloring Studio is a tool for adults to make printable coloring sheets with QR codes that resolve to safe, hosted scan pages. It is not a generic QR shortener. We have specific rules to keep the service trustworthy for everyone — especially because some of the people scanning your codes will be children.
You may not
- Phish or scam. Don't set QR destinations to pages designed to steal credentials, harvest payment information, or deceive scanners about who they're dealing with.
- Distribute malware or harmful files. No drive-by downloads, no executables disguised as PDFs.
- Publish adult or sexual content to a scan page — period. This service is used by children. Adult content has other homes; this isn't one of them.
- Solicit personal information from children. No forms asking for child names, schools, photos, emails, voice recordings, or precise location. We disable these on sight.
- Harass, dox, or threaten. Don't use scan pages as a vector for personal attack.
- Infringe copyright. Only upload art, audio, and text you own or have a license to use. Submit DMCA takedowns to hello@qrcoloring.com.
- Run political disinformation campaigns. No coordinated inauthentic behavior. No deepfaked audio of real people without consent.
- Resell short codes as a service. Don't white-label our scan infrastructure as your own generic QR shortener product.
- Bypass plan limits. Don't farm accounts to dodge scan or sheet caps.
- Use the service to commit a crime. The full list is in your local jurisdiction's laws.
What happens if you do
We disable affected QR codes on report or detection. We don't require a court order to disable a phishing link or content that endangers children — the bar to act is "reasonable belief." Severe or repeated violations end your account.
We log every administrative action. We aim to be transparent about why we took action, though sometimes legal or safety considerations limit what we can share.
External URL destinations
On the Creator plan, you can wire a QR to an external URL. We screen those URLs against safety lists. Some categories (gambling, adult, certain financial services) are ineligible. Free plans don't support direct external redirects — codes must resolve to hosted scan pages first.
Report a sheet
Every public scan page includes a "Report this page" link. You can also use the report form or email hello@qrcoloring.com. We respond within 24 hours and act on credible reports immediately.
